Shadow Peopleby colorcarnivalComment: Nice one, Michelle. What are these children doing in a school yard at night? It does have a very goulish feel to it. |

I agree. This would make a killer post-card-looking photo. I would also desaturate it a bit and play with the color. But it looks excellent as is. |

Walkabout 5by ephlnComment: Good for you Eve! It is a fine job and a lovely result. You may want to look at the exif data for this photo to note what settings you used and reflect on the physical settings that were around you - then go out and shoot 20 more for us! I know you were just out for a walk, but for up-close work like that I find that a tripod and little wind are big helpers. |

Walkabout-Oct-5.jpgby joynimComment: Adorable!
Charlie, I don't know whether or not you own a flash, but here is the sort of place I often find one useful outside. The sky behind her is very bright. If you had exposed for that sky your lovely subject would have been under-exposed. As is, you exposed for your subject and so the sky is a bit blown out. One solution to this problem is to use a flash outside. You could then expose for the sky and take your photo. The flash would help you to light up your subject while exposing for that bright sky. There are other solutions of course... but I just thought that information might be useful to you. |
