Depth of field and colors are great in this shot.I know it's tough to get exactly what you want with butterflies. It would be a better shot without the flower in the foreground. Shooting from a higher angle might have helped. But then again, sometimes you just have to shoot and do it quickly! I love the way the backgound is blurred, but still a vibrant green! Nice shot and good luck in the challenge.

Enemy In Sight

Composition is great... Sky is a little light, but that is necessary to get the soldier at proper exposure. This image is why fill flash was invented. This would be a 10 if there were some light on his face. As it is, my eye drifts to the end of the weapon, when it should be on the guys face. Fill flash would have brightened up his face and made it the ceter point of the image.

Congrats, Alecia, on the ribbon. I was hoping you would get a blue one, but hey, who's complaining? Take care,

Congrats, Sonja, on a top ten finish! I took my three boys to the park yesterday to do a similar shot, only to find out they have removed this piece of equipment! Now I have to drive around town and find one of these! I love your shot and I hope you don't mind my copying it with my kids! I'll show you what I come up with! take care,
