The Webby posthumousComment: I was away so didn't get to voting but, yes, I'm a wacko who digs it.
It's an arachnophobic's nightmare, the spider looking ghostly and still vividly, menacingly real. Is the mesh protecting or caging the prey?
The optical illusion at the junctures of the mesh add to the dream feeling, bringing in an element that is visible from the corner of the eye, then disappearing on direct viewing.
Yup, I'd hang it on my wall! :D |

Barf Buildingby johnmcbostonComment: This is a pretty good photo, but for this challenge your "why" reasons didn't jump out at the rest of us. Possibly a tighter crop on the brick/purple/green area to left would have brought this to us more strongly?
Remember, here folks have a lot to vote on, so each shot has to grab the viewer instantly. Looking forward to seeing future entries! :D |

The Girl With Two Flowersby naomikComment: A lovely portrait, but without the title I would find no connection with the challenge. Even with the title I still can't tell there's two distinct flowers. |

Presenceby CutterComment: With plenty of room for the text that the magazine advertisers will want to add ;) |

Heliosaby CutterComment: Maybe I'm corny and cheesy, but I like it, for the most part :)
The model is gorgeous, of course, but I might prefer the background slightly less strong, especially on the left.
Wonderful work on all of them! |

hotpastaby snafflesComment: Good idea, but high noise due to the low light. Noiseware is a good free program, or I've found that, in Photoshop CS at least, under "blur" is "surface blur". I use it at low settings, such as about 6 and 6, to clean up noise without losing detail. Hope this helps :) |
