They do indeed grow up fast. My sister had some a while back and I was so surprised at how big they got so quickly! I love the colors in these images and how they all go so nicely with each other. Really great composite.

The leaf at the very top is a bit distracting. Other than that this is PERFECT and really needs to be a huge poster!

Wow, very very great concept. I like how it was executed as well - as others have said, great use of expert editing without going over the top.

I like the composition a ton - it stands out to me as a strong point of this image. As for a weak point, I feel like there is too much yellow. We are used to seeing blue in the sky and water, and being gray sort of makes me feel like there is a little bit "wrong" with the image. If I give it more thought, then there is nothing wrong with the color - it's just maybe going through all the landscapes pretty quickly, your eye is used to seeing a certain thing.

The thing that I am most impressed by is the strong focus in the front of the image but also such great detail in the mountains. That really draws me in and makes me feel like I am really there looking at this, which is so awesome.

The title is really great, but this image is too grown-up for me to think of it as Seussian. A REALLY nicely done image, just not in my opinion for this challenge.

I love the angle that you used. Very unique and dramatic. I do not feel that anything is missing at all because there is no head (which is unusual, and congrats on that).

Lighting is pretty nice however I think a bluer sky would have been nicer. This can be done in post processing in advanced. Also the trees are sort of distracting to me.

I feel that the main thing that hurt this was the large amount of background/frame. Making the two smaller pictures somewhat larger, perhaps at the bottom or top of the larger picture, would have allowed us to view the subject better. The large amount of background space being gray also helps to underscore the gray of the sky, so maybe a nice red to match the instrument would have been better.

Overall, nice image and great clarity of subject, just maybe could be more "wow" given some improvements.

I think maybe a different, "horror movie" title like people are suggesting might have given you a slightly better score, but I'm glad that you titled it what you did. Makes us think more.

Focus is very nice, as are colors and lighting. However I think personally the lack of balance here really detracted from enjoyment of the image. The two large circles being on the left and middle, and the small one on the right, just feels unbalanced. I do understand that you could not really have put the small one in the middle, due to the storyline of the dandelion. Maybe have the large ones on top left and top right, and the third image presented larger, down below the other two?

I do like how each picture seems like the dandelion was presented from the same angle. That goes a long way toward making this seem real. I have seen other entries where it was obvious the three images were of different objects, but it was meant to look like the same object at different times. The fact that yours isn't like that helps me believe that this is a "life cycle" and not just a bunch of flowers.

So I have read the thread and the comments below and feel that there is a lot of good feedback there! I am just going to tell you what I thought about the picture as I was voting.

I thought that this was very impactful, both visually and emotionally. I do not like staged shots that are trying to look real but don't. Yours, while having a bit of a fake element to it (specifically, I think she's too white for it to have been done recently, and I would have liked to see more messiness on the male's clothes), did a good job at not looking too staged! So I was impressed by that. Especially the blood... so many pictures with fake blood look like it's tomato juice or paint, and this looked pretty good.

I think definitely that the upper right picture doesn't fit as well with the others. It's too dark, color-wise. Perhaps if this had been a vertical or horizontal triptych, with that in the middle for balance, it would have worked. I don't like the orange lights on the back of the shirt, either.

As I said before, I like the half-desaturation. I think it gives it a definite "creepy" feel. I also like the poses of the models and think that they helped things feel real.

Don't be discouraged about your 1's and 2's. As has been stated, images with "wow factor" can be scored highly despite the technicals, so it makes sense that it works the same way. If anything, be *encouraged* - because that "ew factor" coming out in the votes lets you know that you got a definite reaction and you made people feel that they were looking in on something very bad and wrong. You did a great job with portraying that, and the high scores but also the low scores reflect that.
