Luxury Toysby MotekComment: Ummm... anatomically speaking, that's a very odd place to hang a basket and completely inaccurate for a turtle (to my knowledge). Couldn't pay me enough to be one of the occupants. |

Million Dollar Worriesby offiofComment: She'd have fewer worries if she put her money in a bank rather than running around downtown with a briefcase overfilled with $100 bills. That's just asking for trouble! :D
Fun shot, love the lighting/background colors. Her right foot being cut off is a minor distraction for me. |

No Pensionby Purple_GirlComment: I feel bad for her... she'd be much warmer if she plugged that heater in. :(
She has a great expression, the rain on the window helps with the gloomy feel of desperation. If I had to reshoot this, I think the unplugged heater makes the image look staged. And if there's going to be a shadow on the wall, maybe including the light source in the pic would help (like a cheap lamp with no shade for example). Personally, I think getting in closer and using only the natural light from the window to illuminate her right side would have made this a very powerful shot. Let the rest fall to shadows. Just something to consider. |

timeless pictureby whiterookComment: It fits the category if you look at it like the submission itself was a misunderstanding.
I like the scene, but thought it looked somewhat over processed. |

Money, Commitment, Timeby jaimeDpComment: It's not a GTI, it's a VW R32.
A couple of things that differ from the GTI is that the R32 has 240 hp and the all wheel drive system from the Audi TT Roadster (in the audi, it's called "quattro", in the vw it is "4motion"). It was a limited production of 5000 units made in 2004, but I'm not sure what the starting price was at time of production. Earlier this year (when I got mine), the blue book on it was still $35k. The 18inch wheels shown here are a dead giveaway it's an R32, those are stock. It's too bad there's no sound file for people to hear the dual exhaust.
It's not quite as fast as I would like, and handling could be better due to the sheer weight of the car. Still... it's a nice, nice ride. :)
Oh wait.. this is a photography site. Yeah, DQ or not, this pic rocks.
Nice work on the high dynamic range. |
