Looking Up From Belowby HRoxasComment: This is very beautiful. Everything is excellent except I am not comfortable with the tip of the pedal nearly touching the border. It creates a visual tension that distracts from the rest of the image. Excellent color and textures. -9

natural nerves networkby kenboComment: This is very nice. A very good composition with a bold horizontal line that helps solidify the image while all the small details create a fun and interesting image. Duotone helps put the focus on the composition and individual elements. -9

Stylishby dr rickComment: I can tell that there is beauty in here but I feel it would have worked much better if you would have cropped a lot tighter on one of the elements to isolate it from all of the distracting elements. It's just too busy as it is. 5

Dendrobium Orchid by timmiComment: Well this has to be one of the top five, if not the outright winner. This is just beautiful with excellent composition, colors and textures. Even the slight noise adds something to it for me. -10

Last of the seasonby GordonComment: This is a pretty photo but I feel that it culd use some improvement in a couple of areas. The first thing that struck me was the way the background competes with the butterfly and flower even though it is blurred. It is because the background is still bright in some areas, particularily near the flower. It would have been helpful to position yourself so that much more of the background around the subject was dark to isolate the subject more and make it pop. The other thing I would do was to have moved in a little closer to your subject. Not to fill the frame but just a little closer to make it look a little more prominant. I think it would still convey lonliness. The colors are good and so is the sharpness. The composition also works well.

First Lightby newtune3Comment: This is a very nice photo but one thing that I would have done is move the horizon line down consideably to about 1/5 or 1/6 from the bottom. There is just too much black that distracts from the beautiful sky. Your exposure is vey good as is the details and colors. Score 8 Tim |

Cowgirl at Sunset by Firstrich1Comment: This shot is fantastic!! It is beautiful and dramatic in it's simplicity. I see this shot and I think, "why didn't I think of that?" But of course it is not that simple. Some of the very best ideas are ready to capture almost right in front of us but it won't ever happen without the vision, which you obviously have. Excellent job.

monument to freedom by magnetic9999Comment: Great job Mag! You chose the perfect lighting to compliment the monument and trees and the cropping works very well too. -T |
