Kabulby Joey LawrenceComment: "Purely Indian" is a bit of an oxymoron, I think. Like saying "Purely Chinese." There is a great diversity in features, eye, and hair colour when one becomes attuned to subtle differences (as a real photographer is). Your commentary is nice - the photo speaks for itself too. |

a twisted perspectiveby posthumousComment: It's a bit of an adult angle on the world. Snap down. The view really is the child's view and hard as it might have been the view from the lens might have been a bit more of that child's view up the road to the unknown future of no health insurance, poor education, Democrats that act like Republicans and Republicans that act like Democrats. In other words, a knee bend for the shot might have brought the personal side of the child more into the composition. Cynical as usual. Happy New Year. Message edited by author 2008-01-03 09:44:41. |

Thanks Grandma!by hannekeComment: Ah yes, I have a few of those old and much older telephones I've acquired from stoop sales in Brooklyn. They have a certain arty appeal, don't they. Could be useful. I like those other photos much better... |

Urban Sunsetby APComment: Nice sky - but a bit at the expense of the glittering city lights. Maybe it was a question of timing that magical 10 minutes when lights and sky both excel; or maybe it was a question of exposure choice. I live a few yards from that view and see the many subtle variations of it.... |

Heading Homeby JedusiComment: Strange to say, I was just looking through your portfolio and lo and behold you make a comment on my Water Street image. Thanks. Your Heading Home grabbed my attention for a while, partly because I was remembering that once famous book, Children of the New Forest a night or two back. It is a great adventure in a wonderful place. Your photo captures some of the mystery and the history, for me. That cow just needed a little bit of choreography as regards legs though. But then again, it is a natural image not contrived. Nice work and I enjoy your portfolio. |
