other choice for portraitby olddjComment: I like this shot a lot but, on balance, prefer the entered one. This has more naivety in the pose, a certain innocence that almost contradicts the confidence expressed in the eyes. I like the way the hair falls across the face a lot and think that it adds to the underlying tension in the picture.
On even more reflection, I like both pictures about the same! Sitting on the fence as always :-) |

First Posing Sessionby olddjComment: Beautiful model for sure and I love the pose. Maybe a portrait crop and maybe either lightening the background or the top (prefer lightening the background myself) would have helped but the compositional joy lies in the natural beauty of the model and the confidence with which it is expressed. Overall, I think that this is a great shot, one captured with tenderness. |

Would rather be jumping ropeby timfythetooComment: Excellent photo in all respects. Love the desaturation and the visual impact of the leads and the copper. Good to see an off the wall doing well. |

Catching some air ...by CoozComment: A really good shot compositionally and in terms of the lines and flow of the picture itself. I am surprised this did not do better. |

A True Black Beautyby olddjComment: A strong composition with very sharp relief of the subject. Good detail on the dog but overall the background seems to get in the way of the picture itself. Maybe a flash diffuser would have helped here and blurring some of the background to make the dog realy stand out? |

Just Fishin'by dahkotaComment: Nice one Courtenay! Shows that the off the wall can really work in this place! Made me chuckle! |

Peep Show (Yellow Challenge Reject)by thomaspeopleComment: Absolutely brilliant! Sigh. Good to see someone else with a similarly weird sense of humour in the masses!
Personally, I would have entered this and forgotten about bombing - which is what I did with JUMP! :-)
Great shot! |

Ready for bathtimeby CoozComment: Simply a great shot that seems to have suffered with the dpc "we don't like shots featuring [insert topic of hate/contempt/whatever here]" syndrome. |

rainy daisyby rachelellenComment: This is a very pleasing composition that maybe could have been lightened up a little. Again, as one of many flowers it probably suffered during the voting process but it is one that I personally like and would be proud to have taken myself. |
