Portrait of Amelieby whiteroomComment: Beautiful slightly sepia soft tones... I like how she sort of melts into the background, but I'm slightly distracted by the quite bright light on her left shoulder behind the violin... it takes away some from the softness of the photo. beautiful eyes which really pop... I also would like to have seen how a slightly darker hue on her lips might have made them pop just a bit, although I would worry that would take away from her innocence. Nicely done. |

Concentrationby NinjaMomComment: I like that you used black and white here, gives it an old fashioned school girl type look. Nice job with a difficult lighting situation. I wish you would have gotten down at the side of the table and maybe shot more from the front, and below, so that you could see her face and that deep look of concentration. as of now there are too many distractions... I might have suggested a shallow DOF so that only the girl and her paper were in focus, and blurring the background. |

A World Discoveredby ImagineerComment: This is beautiful! really wonderful colors and good use of a wide dof, I like the different textures here... I only wish the boy was turned the other way. nicely done though. |

The Blood Hells -- Beppu, Japanby debitiptonComment: I'm not sure what I'm looking at here... is this some kind of a volcano or hot springs or something? Love the color that it makes and steam is awesome! I think I would have cropped off more of the left side of the photo... but otherwise cool photo! - T |

Painted with fireby tristaliskComment: This is a beautiful sunset... but I'm wondering it you could have shot it in a different way... I would have liked to have seen the sun in a more prominent spot. and maybe zoomed in a bit on that and made it a verticle would have been nice... the dark upper corner in the right bothers me... and I think you could have played a round with this a bit more. Pretty sunset/rise though! |

Aliciaby jodiecostonComment: very nice... very sexy... might be a tad bit oversharpened? I can't really tell... Some lipstick might have been nice to go with her eyes which are beautiful, and stand out... Nicely done though. |

Black & White on Colorby DJLubaComment: It looks like you went for a soft focus here... but I think I have to disagree with that usage... the model's stance, her look, everything about her including the choice of colors (black and white and the red lipstick) all seem to give the opposite of a softness. Also might have been nice to see her standing against the pole maybe slightly to the side, as it looks like it is growing straight out of her head. I do like the black and white on her though... and the little amount of red is wonderful. |
