Science Experiment - Balloon Powered Cardboard Carby glad2badadComment: I like this, a nice portrait. Honestly I would never guessed what the thing was without the title and I wonder if switching focus from him to the BPCC (is there such acronym ? :) would have helped me guessing. However, I really never seen anything like that before, perhaps in other countries it's a pretty common thing in science classes and people will recognize it more readily :) |

bell bottom bluesby cginoComment: This is just so moving, for some reason which I can't tell.
Both travelled so long, perhaps.
Wonderful image, thanks. |

Freedom for the condemned by GilesComment: I am not sure what to think, particularly with a pretty clear title as this, I expected this to end up top ten. Did people see this as a pro-criminality advertisement? As death penalty criticism, one way or the other? So many speechless low votes..
It was a 9 from me. |

When we are gone...by tvsometimeComment: Interesting. Initially I was not particularly interested with this photograph, but I stayed and watched, perhaps because of the wave encased between the two triplets of seagulls.
Coupled with the title, a very melancholic feeling. I can hear the silence, and the relentless murmuring of the sea. Makes me think it won't be the birds, but the sea itself to take over with quiet indifference. Successions and take overs are just human illusions, the sea was there before and it will be there after, indifferent.
