Teenage yearsby JudiComment: I like the lighting and pose. Perhaps I find the crop a bit too large, in that so much of the image is taken by the black background, but I guess it's very subjective and the effect might be deliberate. |

Distractionby MAKComment: I like it. I find the selective focus perhaps a tad too strong, particularly on her lips. While I like the Lawrence of Arabia hood (sorry, probably not the best definition) and the crop as it is leaves space for her to gaze through. But I feel a tigher crop, excluding the white background completely, would have made for a stronger image and enhanced the complementary tones of skin and fabric. But probably it's just me. |

No-answer.092711by mariucaComment: That's what I do with photos often, walking away to then come back and stare, nice concept. |

Homage to Charles C. Ebbetsby Alex_PetriniComment: Did this one get a DQ?
I realize that I probably understand the letter of the rules, but I am totally mistaken about the reasons behind them.
This a creative use of existing imagery and it tries in no way to fool the viewer into anything.
What about photographing passers-by in front of street art, street advertising and so on? Why should this image seen differently rules-wise?
A clever, well developed concept.
