Breaking the drinking habitsby MarioPierreComment: Good idea, I like the DOF and how you captured the fragments, quite effective. I would have perhaps found it even more effective if the bottled was tilted further, 45 deg or thereabout. I find that it would give more impact as that's how it would tend to land if thrown on an impulse rather than dropped. Then I understand that there are just so much bottles available to smash :) |

Denied!by GilesComment: Nice idea. The fenced area looks a bit like a baby cot :)
Unless you are suggesting that you wish to limit/quit because of an incoming baby (uhh, far fetched perhaps :) |

WWW in the makingby ajemieComment: You wish to become a spider for Google? :)
Interesting macro, I like that the web is quite evident and that the spider is evidently busy working on it. More detail would have helped as this is what people normally look for first thing in macros. |

be imaginativeby lobrinComment: Or reflective :) Nice take. I am unsure about the painterly look to the image, but I guess it's matter of taste. Also, rotating 180 deg or flipping could have made for an interesting image too, given the underexposure have preserved more sky details on the reflected scene. |

60 pounds down, 60 to go.by Yo_SpiffComment: Yo_Spiff! Yo_Spiff! Ok, I spend too much time reading the forums :)
I like this, nice old time feeling and good framing. And love the camera bag on the back. My only gripe might be the contrast, as on my monitor shows a bit too dull (to my taste, obviously).
Good luck with the next 60 and many congratulations on the 60 already gone, it's hard work! |

RadioFlyerby bspurgeonComment: That's quite interesting, what our mind does at time. I mean.
a friend of my dad used to dive and fish coral pretty deep, up to 100m. He is a biologist as well, so perfectly aware that red bandwith is one of the first to kiss goodbye and disappear when diving deep. Still, he could swear he could see the coral as red anyway :)
This said, I have to admit my brain lacked the previous exposure to work out the trick wih this image, as you say it's a north American icon :) Message edited by author 2012-01-16 06:40:59. |
