Beautiful image. I'd love to see a little more detail in the rocks

The lighting on this is superb. Let me state, with all honesty, that I am putting this in my favorites so I can steal your idea :)

Yet, another image that I feel like should have placed much higher than it did. I really like how the soft color tones bring out what one might imagine Olivia's personality to be like. i gave it a 10

One of the most common comments I make on this site is the need for a focal point or primary subject... something that the observer is naturally drawn to. IMHO, many landscape photos seem to lack this. You have a nicely colored sky and ocean contrasted against a texture shoreline, which is great. But, now you need something to draw the viewer in. Even a tiny sailboat anchored off in the distance between the Jetty and the mountains in the background would be enough (I use this for illustration purposes... I'm not suggesting you should have broken the rules and added something after the fact). Hope you find this useful.

What is your primary subject in this image? I find my eyes jumping from the ducks, to the sun, to the reflection of the tall tree, to the grass in the foreground, and back to the ducks. The color balance is really nice (subtle), but I'm not sure I like the composition for the reason above.

Nice colors in the sky and the mountains, but I find that the dark forground distracts from the subject.

This was one of my favorites. Nice moody, subtle tones. Deserved much better than 275th, IMHO.

Great subject and title. A bit out of focus, though.

I'm glad to see this one did well in the contest. I REALLY liked it (gave it a 10), but I was afraid it might get lost with all the other portraits. Well done!!!
