The 10k Runby p3wizComment: There was another large running race shot in this challenge.
This one is a much stronger composition and I could see it as the lead shot of an article about a local race.
I'd like it better if the front 2 runners were in sharper focus. |

Maiden With The Seagullby gocComment: Gorgeous shot, very well executed. I'm not sure where the journalism part of it comes in though? |

Back to schoolby whiteroomComment: Very nice. I like that it captures an age when kids LIKE school! The triangular structure hold attention well. The only thing that bugs me is the structure in the BG that looks like it is growing out of the middle boy's head. |

rural farming sale!!....big bargainsby focus57Comment: This one just isn't very interesting to me and is one where without the title, one would wonder what it is about.
In my opinion, the title should not be an important aspect to get your point across, the shot alone should do that. |

Funding the War against the Middle Classby BakerBugComment: I like the thought behind this one, perhaps even lighting them on fire would've been cooler! (though I wouldn't expect you to waste your $ and risk an explosion!!!)
It could be a little stronger w/ better focus on the bills and less focus on the writing of the gas cap. |

Body found in swampby alpharichComment: Creative idea and well executed. It's not my favorite for the challenge and I'm not certain why at this point. I applaud the creative approach though. |

High Temperatures and Spring Rain Flood Valley Floorby cools98Comment: This one is an excellent photo, would look great framed and on a wall.
It doesn't say "journalism" to me though, without the title. In my opinion, the title shouldn't really be an important part of the shot or try to explain what it is depicting. |

Anti-War Protest Draws 100's To Taos Plazaby SammieComment: This one sort of makes me go, "So?"
There's a lot of "things" in the shot, but no real point of interest. A way it could've been great was focused in tight on mainly one person - perhaps someone very passionate about the subject and in mid-yell about something. I'd like to see better focus - the guy right in the middle in the gray shirt is blurred a tad to my eyes. |

Down by Three...by DanielCzajaComment: Hmmm, this one is tough for me to call. It looks very journalistic - even like you ripped it right out of the sports section.
But, it isn't that interesting or intriguing as a photo. Who is the guy, the coach, a fan, a suspended or injured player? I'm not sure what would make it better for me, something is needed to pump up the intrigue a little bit. |
