Toenail Eating Dragonby trevytrevComment: This is fantastic! Perfectly focused, and the dof is great for this shot. I'm not seeing the dragon so much... maybe a different color background would help spark my imagination? I love macros like this! I hope you continue this trend through the 30 days! |

nikon 042dpc.jpgby pcodyComment: This is great.. certainly a lot to look at and keep you interested. Nice how the two different sizes of pipe are at different depths and of varying darknesses. |

day 1 - soapdishby GinaRothfelsComment: Great job! Nice colors, and I have to agree that the V at the bottom of the dish is a big focal point for me. Well done! |

day 1by dreamyComment: Nicely done! This one really popped out at me in the thumbnails, and the shot is just as nice full size. What was the background? It has some interesting shapes to it. |

spoons1.jpgby PixelKingComment: Nicely done leaving some empty space around this instead of cropping in too close. |

Keys Day 1.jpgby ssodellComment: I like the contrast of blue/orange, and how you included both the keys and lock. I think some of the other commenters have a good point about a tighter shot. Perhaps a portrait orientation so that you could still include the handle and keys with some of the color? I think a slight adjustment in levels or contrast would help boost the colors too! Great start! |

IMG_5940-Hat.jpgby TheresaAComment: Great texture... it's like a little surprise when you open it from the thumbnail! The crop feels a little tight with the top cut off and such a close crop to the left. Did you run out of backdrop on the sides? I can see some brighter areas on both sides. A little burning or cloning there would fix those up pretty easily. Nicely done! |

Day 1 Sunglassesby ChinarosepetalComment: Great use of dof... it's subtle, yet adds nicely to the shot. f/1.2... and here I was excited about my new f/1.8 :P |

Day 1 - Shelfby Bruce_the_RobertComment: Nice... the shadow to the right of the shelf feels odd with the vignette on the left side, but at the same time I think the lack of symmetry makes it more interesting since it's a centered composition. |
