Neon Paris by scarbrdComment: Great job... I love how the 'restaurant' neon sign in the background isn't lit up. That would have been a major distraction to the shot. Nicely done! |

Birth of Las Vegas by cutlassdude70Comment: I didn't vote on this challenge, but this is just fantastic! Even better is that you took the time to share the background on how the shot was done. I think I see that nighttime desert squirrel running around back there in the background! :P Great job, and congrats on a well deserved blue! |

I'll second that! I always enjoy reading your photographers comments, even on something as simple and as this photo. Your daughter has really grown up over the last 2 years compared to your first 7+ photo... we'll keep an eye out in 2008 for the same chair to see how much more she's grown! Congrats on the ribbon... well deserved! :) |

Number Pleeeezby beebee381Comment: This is like one of those optical illusions... if you let your eye wander around, it seems to move in and out. Interesting! |

The Drive Homeby BHusemanComment: It's interesting the things the eye finds to focus in on with a shot like this. For example, it's good to see that you decided NOT to put on the sunglasses while you were driving down the dark street at 59 mph while holding up a camera to take a long exposure shot. That just seems dangerous :P That is quite a lot of colored lights though surrounding you! |

Will someone PLEASE move over!by cislanderComment: One of those shots that you look at and enjoy, and the title just adds to it! You captured a great expression here, and in the midst of all those sleeping sea lions. Well done! |

Nature's Childby StrikeslipComment: Fantastic capture... love the action of the bird mid flight, and the little girls expression of amazement. She's holding her arm so it is extra still so she doesn't scare the bird away... all the components are just perfect. Great focus, and the shallow dof makes the background just melt away. Some may say it has a snapshot sort of feel to it, but I think you did a wonderful job... this is a wonderful example of a great photo that captures a precious moment. I hope this shot does well for you! |

Frost & Mist on the Greensby shutterbug8Comment: Nice composition and I like the calm feel of the mist. The greens feel a bit too saturated in color, especially compared to the deep blues, which feel almost purple, in the back. |
