Darkening the blacks would help give this image some depth. Since the geese are in the center of the frame, the divide the image in half, making my eye bounce between the top half and the bottom. Putting them on a third line would help place more focus on the birds, which would strengthen this image.

I think desaturating the yellows a bit would emphasize the blue/cyan of the tower beams.

I'm not terribly sure if I understand the connection between the date 9/9/09 and Wizard of Oz. I'll have to read the Photog's Comments when the challenge is over.

Photos of toys don't generally socre very well here on DPC unless there is something spectacular about it. I think this would look a bit more interesting if there was more depth to the light instead of the soft, overall light you have used. Some directional light on the man and 9s with a darker background might add some pop.

I wish the lighting had come more from the side to help bring out all the detail in the wood and emphasize the metal even more.

This pose almost looks like the bird is copying some Disney caricature, instead of the other way around : ) Nice capture!

I love the evil eye! Beautiful bokeh too -- makes the background look like a painting. The only criticism I found was the halo on the back of the birds head. Otherwise, cool shot!

I like your entry better. The second person makes this photo look less sad. In this photo, the guitarist is all alone and no one is listening to him play. Your entry gives him an audience. I also prefer the extra room above his head as in your entry.

Why post a picture of someone who obviously doesn't want their picture taken? I'm sure you had plenty of other photos you could have chosen from. We photographers get the rap of being very invasive and I think this is a perfect example of that. As a photographer who doesn't like her picture taken, I completely understand reluctant subjects, and I try to respect that. I'm just wondering why you chose to enter this. Will your personal gain really outweigh what the subject would feel if she found this photo posted on the internet?

Perfect placement of the passerby! The colors are nice and bright, but not over-saturated. My pick for a ribbon.
