This is probably one of the best executed of all the people who used this idea. I like how the full flow of sugar into cup gets seen. The reflection of the cup is a nice touch, although the reflection of the sugar seems a bit lost down there in the darkness.

I don't think it communicates the idea clearly enough to me. Perhaps the DOF should have been more selective, so that the other distracting book titles are obscured.

Beautiful landscape. Reminds me of the Highveld in South Africa. Open plains, stark Acacia trees. The composition is very strong, and I like the contrast between the yellow land and blue skies. Just enough clouds to make the sky interesting. Good entry.

Strong metaphor, but too many petals detract from the main decaying flower. Maybe by separating them on different planes, like having the main flower set above the other fallen petals, taken from a higher angle. That way the other petals would have blurred outside the DOF, or woud have been darker without the main lighting.
