Absolute Still by SkipComment: I was routing you'd get a blue ribbon. It's seriously a fantasic picture. I gave you a 9, now I wonder why on earth didn't I give you a 10. Maybe it's because I've never given anyone a 10. It's flawless, I can't say anything to really to improve the shot. Although, I find it hard to believe someone gave you a 1. |

Macro that needs workby DirtypainterComment: Definitely as the title says. Very grainy and unfocused. I don't mean to criticise, since I'm a horrible photographer. I gave a 3 on this because of the whole quality of the composition. With of course a few points meeting the challenge. I don't think it fits the challenge very well at all. I just can't grasp the concept of it. I applaud for the effort though. The picture is a bit too dark as well. Sorry. |

Still setting up the shot by ZorbaTheGeekComment: I originally gave this a 6, but compared to the others I gave six, this certainly deserves more than that. I'm attracted to morning mist as well. The silhouette is working so unbelievably well in this shot. The minor ripple in the water, fantastic. Thank goodness it wasn't placid water, I don't think it would be as good. The desolated wintered trees in the background adds a very extra "wow" factor in this shot. So I'm changing this to a 9. It's seriously a good shot. I hope you get a ribbon, I really do, especially because it fits the challenge oh so perfectly. |

Is breakfast too early for beer?by debapakaComment: I know advance editting isn't allowed, but this shot would have turned out a lot better if just the beer had colour while the rest was desaturated. It's definitely a good effort. I like it although I think you might have over saturated yellow a bit too much. It's that or when you desaturated the yellow the egg yolks doesn't look so great. I gave 6 on this. |

Too Early for Popcorn : Too Late for the Kernelby seebrownComment: I'm scared for you in this shot. I'm afraid of oil, so if that popcorn actually POPS, I'd assume that oil would splatter too. I gave a 7 because there's something lacking in the composition. The contrasts works great with the teflon (I'm assuming) pan. And if you could have taken out your reflection it might have turned out better. I'm not exactly sure though. |

So much for the crowd pictures...by NobodyComment: Mmm, this is a beautiful picture. The morning mist and rays barely caressing the skin. I gave a 7 on this. Not because it's bad or anything. There's a certain mood lacking, but because of my lack of photography knowledge, I don't know what's missing to the show.
I felt like if you could have worked a little more nature into the shot, I'd almost give it a 10. Very well taken shot though. |

Hanging Onby jpochardComment: Very new child indeed. I'd say maybe the shot needs a little Gaussian Blur to it to give a very warm surreal atmosphere.
I wish I could tell you exactly the pin pointing area to where it gives you that little exta "umph" and wow factor to make it to a 7. There's an atmosphere missing to the shot. I don't know what it is.
Personally, if this were to be framed, I'd say not those huge gigantic portrait frames, but rather a small 6 by 4 frame will do. |

New breed of Ribboners by patrinusComment: Very creative is the word I can say for this one. The baby is adorable. I think it's lacking a focal point though. Some areas are a bit too blurry. I do love the concept going for this composition; it's working very well. Only if the baby had her/his hands around the camera. I'd throw a 10. Instead I gave a 7. |

Milliseconds to impact.... milliseconds too early!by docpjvComment: This is an unbelievable shot! That tiger getting attacked squinched even. I hope it's just playful demeanor. I have this shot a 7 though. I might have given it a 9 or 10 if you could go for a faster shutter speed to have that pause effect on the paws. Using black and while on this works fairly well, the framing works really good in this composition. |

Can't Wait for Springby ElaineComment: There were quite a few baseball gloves being shot, so this was given a 5 because it lacks the location compared to the others I've seen. It would have scored a bit higher if there was some sort of background to show the wait for spring. It's a good shot though! |
