Shot well done. Nice colors and use of saturation reduction. Nice composition. Unfortunately a bit offtopic on the nude challenge. 6

Greetings from the Critique Club.

Congratulations on your firt place at this challenge.

I must admit, I am not the best person to crtitique this photo. I personally am not a very big fan of sports photos, and basketball bores me to death. Never the less, I can still look at this photo and see its good points.
Technicaly, it's very well done. Excellent use of shallow depth of field, bringing the attention to the players in the foreground. The movemement of the players is very well captured too. You have nice obliques going on there, from bottom left to top right. This makes this shot very dynamic. It's quite a PLUS to have no other playres in the background. I assume they must be near the net... :-)
I understand you kept the crop quite large to acocmodate the title and all. But I personally think the crop could be a lot closer, focusing onthe two main players. They have such a dynamic energy glowing around these two, it would be fantastic to crop the photo closer to them. It would probably still work with a magzine title, like they usually do (cover part of the title with the models/players heads).

Nice use of Neat Image (you must have used it, right? After all, you shot at ISO 800... there should be more noise in there at 800. If not, then wow! You got a fantastic camera!). Very nice colors and all.

All in all, a well executed sports journalism shot.

Hi. I love this "frame in a frame" idea. Actually, I was thinking of doing something similar, but didn't find a frame in time. I'm glad I didn't because you probably did it better than I would have. You're a very pretty girl and I think this is a bonus for the shot you decided to go with. Your expression is perfect. The pose is great. I have a little Photoshop Plugin that would have helped you int his photo to get rid of the yellowish tint in your backgruond while keeping the nice skin tones. It's legit with DPC, so contact me if you want it (it's free, but forgot where I downlaoded it). Removing the yellow in the bgr would have helped to add to the quality of your shot I think. Using Neat image just a bit more (if you already did) would have added to the skin as well with this kind of glamour shot. I love the hair! Bad hair day you say? Nha! It's perfect. On a final note, if you plan to spot edit your final shot later on, you could whiten the eyes a littlebit to make them stand out and the shot will be perfect! As it is, for DPC, it's very well done. I give you an 8.

Man, I've got to hand it to you: you have a great sense of humor. Technically, I really don't like the grainyness of this photo. But somehow, it just works well with your pose. It seems to add some surrealism to it. You did a good job! 7

I love this shot. It's truly splendid. You capture quite an essence there. I love the use of Diffuse Glow in the image. It's soft an not over done. Visually, great composition. The pose is excellent, and if I may say so, you know how to select your clothes- they suit you very well. This is a 9 or 10 to me.

Connie, you're very talented. "Good Clean Fun" remains one of my favorite photos of all time (not just DPC). This time, you pulled it off marvelously with this flower and butterfly. Just goes to show flowers (an old cliché) can still be captured in all their visual splendor. (and I don`t like flower shots! LOL!) Congratulations. I think you well deserve your spot in the top 3 winners.
