SUPER Powersby cup4tmlComment: Wow, those scores are a bit rough, eh?
I realised pretty much straight away that it was a cut-out. Not hard to tell given the odd discolouration. With this in mind, it was easier for me to let go of doggedly trying to work out where the light was coming from, and enjoy what you had done with the laser. Guess others weren't as relaxed about it.
The laser is not just the main light source, it's the only light source AND the main subject. Which means, Superman is rightfully the main subject as well, since HE IS the source of light, duh. The whole "not the main subject" issue, is really a bit over the top and I suspect bandied about by those who want to justify their vote.
Sheesh people, just chill and enjoy the fun stuff for a change...

Focused by NuzzerComment: Well crap, if that's how people feel about a wee bit of noise, I'm going down big time in the March fs. Oh wait... I'm probably brown toast any way, lol.
Heh, you should have said the noise was deliberate, you were going for the arty high ISO film grain look ;) |

A "Second" Glass, Pleaseby dswannComment: Methinks you've been tricksy here and made some jelly, otherwise I'm not sure how you got the pour so detailed at 1 second! ;) And I don't think I've ever seen anyone use a bilious yellow background for a wine glass shot before... That's certainly unique! :D
edit to clarify: Not saying it doesn't meet the challenge, just that I'm too dumb to work out how you've done it. Oh, and did I mention the bg colour? Yeah, may have to bump you up a couple of points for that offence alone ;) |

Electric Angelby JutildaComment: There is no limit on creativity. No two images can ever be the same. Isn't it wonderful? I can't get enough of happy accidents like this. Superb image.
Perhaps she is Athropos, cutting the thread of life? |

Gulls in Flight, Winter Dawnby Bear_MusicComment: The aspect I love most about what you've done here, is that the birds have become a part of the scene. They're not just flying across the sky and water, but they are the sky and water. |

In Transitionby pixelpigComment: Thanks for the detailed explanation! Great effect, making it is so much more than just a floral. I wish the voting could have been better for you. |

Sand Bath Terminus With Gnatsby lynnesiteComment: This is quite good.
eta: Had to come back and qualify that statement - "quite good" is Rina-speak for reactions/emotions I'm unable to articulate properly, because my jaw has hit the ground :) |
