Haha! Awesome prediction Amy! :D But I wouldn't call it pure crap. As Don says, it's an amazing ripple effect. I think where this has let you down a bit though, is composition. Turning the camera slightly clockwise (or even rotating the canvas before crop), would have gotten rid of the distracting diagonal at top right, giving the image more balance too.

Personally, I think the voters were a bit harsh on you. I would have placed this in the mid 5s at least as the reflection itself and contrast are really quite good.

Ray, this is a glorious shot. Great depth and colour. I went on a road trip down to Rotorua some weeks back, and really regret not continuing on to Taupo. Your images inspire me to get back out on the road again. Spectacular captures, well done :)

Not quite sure what it is about this that I like so much. Maybe it's the combination of fresh freckled face beauty with the cutest hint of a smile, and the urban/aged feel to the colour conversion. Whatever it is, it's great.
