2by sevilduvarciComment: Originally posted by sevilduvarci: what do you see Rina?? is there a 2 in the picture actually?? that would be really very cool.
the 2 unfortunately merely stood for the fact that this is the second day of the 30 day B&W challenge. nothing to do with the picture itself. |
What I see are the lines and curves from the subject making an implied 2. Great coincidence, eh? Or maybe my eyes are far too wide open - I may need to ease up on the coffee ;) |

2by sevilduvarciComment: Looked at the title first, then at the tagging (graffiti) on the wall. Couldn't work out how you got "2". Then my eyes opened properly and the penny dropped. Yes, I see it.
I'm also quite fond of shots where the subject is leaving the frame as opposed to entering. Not sure why that is. |

Second Tryby JenniferDavidGAComment: Disney World? I have got to get there some day. Been to Anaheim 4 times though, can't get enough Disney :) Mater's probably my least favourite character from Cars (I know I know, everyone loves Lightning McQueen), and the flat (overcast?) light does little to help him. Gosh, ever consider taking a megaphone with you? Those people really need to get out of your shot, how inconsiderate of them. "HEY, I'm taking a photo over 'ere!" Sheesh... |

With Back Turnedby lovethelightComment: It's a technically sound image. The exposure's good, the dof is superb (bit of bokeh going on there, magic) and that's why you got the well deserved high marks. But at the end of the day, it's just a flower shot. For flower shots to evoke lots of response, they need to pack a punch. Either with in-your-face dramatic/mother-of-all bright colour, or with exquisite (perfectly executed) shallow dof/macro. It needs a little something more to grab the viewer's attention and compel them to tell you that they've been absolutely spellbound by your imagery and want to have your baby. |

brassby sevilduvarciComment: Disjointed. A cracked mirror. What clever timing...
I get the distinct impression you look for obstacles for which to tease the viewer. That's a very intriguing personal style Sevil. |

Reflectby cpanaiotiComment: Another delight. Love the super dof here.
You may want to reconsider the size/opacity of the copyright. I literally have to force my eyes away from it in order to drink in the beauty.
Awesome, awesome photography. |

"Insert witty cat related title here"by PhotoDaveComment: "It's like talking to a brick wall" :)
Well, that was my first thought anyway. She's looking right at me with that smug, disdainful expression while hubby back there has tuned right out.
Beautiful natural colour and light though. I don't think the high ISO has unduly affected this, imo. |

phoneby sevilduvarciComment: Crowded, lively, colourful... yet a totally relaxing mood. I can imagine standing there across them, listening to snippets of conversation, occasional bursts of laughter. The placement of the phone leaves me desperately wanting to peek around it though. Intentional? Yes, I think so. But why? Who is she? What is she saying/doing/gesturing that I'm not allowed to see?
What seems to jump out at me the most (aside from the phone), are what I see as the three main characters here: Both the girl on the far left and the guy in the middle (talking to Ms Phone), seem to be listening keenly, comfortable and relaxed, their demeanour commands attention in the fray. In stark contrast to the girl on the far right who appears to be alone, isolated, hunched over her sad plastic cup of fruit juice. No-one's talking to her. Do they even know she's there? Maybe she thinks everyone else is so pretentious. She's just going to struggle through her drink then catch the next bus out. Who needs those beautiful people anyway. |
