Good idea, and good focus and DOF. Too much out-of-focus foreground/text is annoying - consider cropping it out, at least as much as is possible.

Nice composition. Try wide open aperture for shallower DOF to blur out the distracting background.

Nice color contast works for me, allows a small figure to be a properly dominant focus. Reducing the amount of hazy foreground somehow would help, maybe just crop differently.
