Misty Morningsby sherpetComment: I think you could have got away with having the foreground not quite so soft focus - for me the soft trees and mist are enough and the logs aren't quite as nice. I like the overall feeling of a painting, sort of like a Arthur Streeton |

Tiger Lillyby BMacDComment: Possibly the only flower photo in this challenge which is improved by the use of soft focus as a technique. I think backlighting is the key... Well done - 9 from me even if it is a flower |

fireworks 025.jpgby optionComment: nice and crisp fireworks. possibly too wide apeture which has overexposed parts. I find that f11-16 is generally required when you are close to the action, the further away you are the wider you can open up. |

Little Oneby timfythetooComment: I can never get my cats to stay still long enough to look into the lens (without trying to lick it anyway).
As with all good portraits you've managed to capture the eyes well - but the DOF is so shallow that the outside corners seem quite soft. |

west coast fogby jdannelsComment: I love the details in the foreground and the sky, but as a whole it feels a bit unbalanced. Prehaps from a lower angle would have increased the shadowy foreground and brought the highlights a bit lower in the composition? |
