i like the lighting and composition, but i can't tell exactly what it is. not knowing what it is or what it is supposed to convey to me makes me feel very little emotion towards the photo. it's done very well, but doesn't say anything to me.

interesting photo. very close in! pretty clear too. i don't know if the erratic spacing helps or hinders the overall picture. composition is good. overall pretty good, just lacks a wow for high score.

is that the camera or your mouth! lol interesting idea. i tried some with some blue ornaments and couldn't get anything i liked. a black or dark background would improve this picture.

neat background but almost distracts from the great subject matter in the foreground. a fill-in flash would help the foreground. if you used one, which looks like you might have, it would have worked a little better if you were closer. if you didn't use one then it might have made the difference.

Icy Cold

the ice looks neat and i like it against the dark background, and you framed it good, but it isn't a real interesting picture, pretty but not enough wow. also, most of the ice is on a angle off of verticle, which would make it look more natural.

there is enough going on in the face so that you don't need that much going on in the background. a solid colored umbrella would have worked better, too much going on, no where for the eye to be led to.

very nice. a little more rock or no rock might improve it, because i first want to know what that dark thing is and it irritates me that i have to stare at it for a second to figure out that it is a rock and not a whale or something. i love the peak in the background, how at first you don't notice it and then wow when you see it. maybe that's what the black rock it there for, to get your attention.

i like the photo but it is a little off balance with the tree on one side and nothing on the other side. The shadows darken the details of the statue.

the expression on the face is distracting from the picture. it looks like there wasn't much thought put into the picture other than trying to make the eyes blue and the rest grayscale.
