Finneganby CitadelComment: The first thing I see is the tongue--it takes up too much of the shot for me. Is Finnegan blind or was there a lighting problem? |

Who afraid of whomby natalka9Comment: To me, a portrait has controlled lighting and setting. This seems more of a snapshot. The car and leg do not add anything to the photo, and I would like to be able to see more detail of the dog. |

Augustaby krakurComment: It seems the lighting might be a bit strong on the right. The negative space is distracting to me, and I would like to see sharper focus on the eye. |

My Dog Got Ran Over by a Raindeer!by phototrapComment: To me, a portrait has controlled lighting and setting. The chairs make for a busy background, and while the cone (or whatever they are called) tells a story it makes it look like he put his head through something. The tag doesn't help either. |

To the Leftby ShannonLeeComment: I like the colors, but this is not a portrait in my opinion. I would score this high if it were not a portrait challenge. |

Waiting to Playby two_azComment: Not my idea of a portrait. The brightness of the upper right corner draws my eye awaay from the subject. |

Early Morning on Planet Daydreamby tateComment: To me, this is more digital art than photography. While I love it and would give it a 10 in a digital art contest, I think the intent of the rules is to have the result still look like a photo. For that reason, my final score is an 8. |
