Love the light streaming into this coffee shop and the two men lost in thought in the scene! One sits at the table on the left, head resting in hand, coffee mug waiting on the table, lost in thought. The man sitting in the armchair to the right has his hand cupped to his chin lost in thought looking at the paper in his hand. Then there seems to be a third party who is missing. A tray with a coffee mug and creamer sits on the tabletop in the forefront as if we/the viewer are just now returning to the table. I really love how this is just a slice of life with the muted duotones strengthening the contemplative mood captured here! I have to admit I don' quite get how the title connects to the imagery unless that is the name of the cafe...given that my first thoughts on seeing the image was, lost in thought, give pause (for thought), and on second thought (because of the two men lost in thought)

Love the pillar of light that falls on the cobblestone street and the main subject caught within! Deep shadows frame the main subject on either side directing the viewer's attention to what happens within the path of light. The backlighting illuminates the people in the background just enough that we see there shapes but mostly details remain in the shadows. In the forefront a young child playfully runs. He/she is almost a reflection of the shadow on the ground for most details are hidden because of the strong light. The capture of the the arms outstretched combined with the title transforms a delightful imagery of a child at play into one that is eerie, interesting and strange.

Love the warm tones throughout this portrait shot! The golden highlights on her hair from the backlighting, the gorgeous bokeh circles, and the warm hues compliment the action/mood going on here of this girl lost in thought. She is daydreaming; the viewer sees it not just in her pose but in the feel/mood of the environment around her.

There are wonderful contrasts between the light and the shadows in this photo! I like how the fading light illuminates the grass, the water spray/mist, and the person with the outstretched hand. That said, I am left a bit in the dark with what actions I am seeing here because I want to get a closer look. I see the person's shadow in the frame but I think that the main subjects at the top of the composition are far more interesting. My suggestion is crop to showcase the top half of the frame bringing the viewer closer to the details and story of what is happening there.

Love this over head view of where the land meets the sea! Fantastic composition that shows the sinuous/undulating shoreline and footpath moving on a diagonal from the bottom left corner to the top right corner. Love the details too! We get to see the ripples on the ocean surface and the lined patterns in the grassy areas near the large house. Wonderful work that captures a perspective one rarely gets to see!

Love the backlighting that illuminates the greens of the garden with a lovely glow! I also like how you composed the shot that has the sun/main flare coming out of the top of the corn stalk like it just blossomed forth.

I love the gold hues of the setting sun and how it illuminates this wire frame statue of a person playing an instrument! The music of a sunset serenade fills the air. I do have two suggestions on how you can make this composition even stronger. Get lower to the ground and shot at a lower angle looking up at the wire statue if you can. What that would do is make more of the statue appear more prominent in the sky portion of the frame and push the land, buildings and the ocean lower to the ground (at the feet of this statue). The other benefit from getting that low angle is that now you would have the sun level with the head of the statue. Which is in a perfect position to move the angle such that you could you can place the setting sun within the head of the statue.

First, you have an awesome steampunk/retro dressed couple as the main subjects of the shot! The photo is taken against the light but the sky is blown out and the sun's glare between the couples heads is more of a distracting element when it could be a contributing element. The sun behind them needs to be a supporting element to the scene - for example taking the shot at a lower angle that the sun is directly behind the left lens on the man's hat. Composing the sun's position there would be open up the possibility of a sun starburst pattern radiating from that 'touch'. Another possible placement of the sun is directly behind the woman's bonnet such that the lace trim will be illuminated with gorgeous light and appear like a halo. Let the sun be an active participant in this portrait of two interesting people dressed in vintage/retro costumes.

Wonderful light and story moment captured in this photo! The silhouette of a farmer stands surveying his field. Chewing on a straw he places his hand on his side - it has been an exhausting, back-breaking day. As the sun sets off in the distance he reflects upon the day and what needs be done on the morrow before heading home to rest.

Love the way the metal railings are lit by the light! The arched bridge railings act as leading lines that draw the viewer to the light off on the horizon. The architectural details on the arches are also very eye catching. The light illuminating the scenery is very lovely but I do wonder if the composition would be stronger or if it would add to the scene if the full or partial orb of the setting sun was captured between the metal arches in the distant point.
