Day 18 - Backyard Poppyby jonfrommkComment: I love these; I have some yellow and red ones in my front garden and was going to shoot a red yesterday. There's something about a flower that simply can't be cut and put in a bundle that is perfect (for those who don't know, they won't make it five minutes, or so I'm told); it won't be captured in real life, so this is the best we can do! This is a nice capture. The one I've done as a yellow (with a butterfly in it) looked flat and awful. You've done a really good job with the textures in the petals and the details in the center. |

Wanderer - 13by JutildaComment: This really does look like a dream to me, one that the dreamer has let us in on (though I think the dreamer sees the boy, not that the boy is the dreamer). There is a strong story here, talking to me through the image and the processing. Fav. |

12 - Swishby JutildaComment: So I'm finally catching up, and I see how this fits with my front part of the horse shot :) I cropped mine just a very little, too. I wonder what would happen if we grafted the shots together . . . would be fun to try to get two shots like this and put them together (having shot them with that in mind). Delightful tones in this. |

11 - Ribbonsby JutildaComment: Lovely composition, excellent processing, such control over process to get the result you want, and a result that has such impact. |

Nailsby JutildaComment: Excellent use of contrast here to emphasize the ordinary and force us to look at it, really look at it. Nicely seen and captured. I need to open my eyes when I'm out with my shot, instead of searching for a preconceived shot. |

Day 9 - Buggedby JutildaComment: How did you pay that model? Prints for time? Brilliantly spotted and shot, and I love the high contrast conversion. |

Camelback Roadby AliciaComment: This is a really strong shot; I agree with Jack about maybe a higher crop. Those lights are giving you digital artifacts as well as messing with your composition. The sky is brilliant, I love it! |

I spy... I spy...by AliciaComment: I guess I don't find this scary at all; I've had a real live view of a cat from this perspective (woke up with them sleeping near my head enough times); to me it screams of the comfort and ease of a cat's life. |

Iced Tea Stirrers croppedby AliciaComment: I think this does seem a bit crowded and busy, but that's what these places are like, and that's why this is such a good shot! Excellent contrast in this shot to emphasize the starkness of places like this, where they shoehorn in a ton of bric a brac in the hopes of making it feel homey (I think that's why they do it); almost as if your eyes fell on pure space you might get up and leave without paying! Nicely shot to capture that feel. |

ten/thirtyby UNCLEBROComment: Wonderful composition here, with nice tones, if not as extreme as yesterday's. The moist insides really come through. By the way, tried to add you as a fav photog but couldn't -- you were already there! Oops . . . |
