GTO.jpgby KronusComment: It's a nice, shiny car, outside a taco bell. Lighting isn't ideal, but actually works better than it might have given the shine of the car (clean, in many ways). It's cropped pretty tightly, and I might try to put it in a bit more perspective with a wider angle (or go in really close and lose the context, which here doesn't add much for me). |

Grandpopby RulerZigzagComment: My first reaction was that I know him; not him personally, but people like him, and have all my life. He reminds me, by the look in his eye, of a guy I used to live near, with a certain, "don't give me any trouble, kid, I've had enough of that in my life already" look to it. He was kind, but "forthcoming" (as his daughter used to say). As for the image itself, I agree it looks a bit sterile. The angle is good, it allows for a certain respect built in as you look up toward him a little bit, but the background makes it harsher than I suppose was intended. Good suggestions from Richard ( yanko), so I won't repeat those, but he looks like a good subject for different settings if he'd go along with it. |

Day 28 - Icecreamby nikolaosComment: I long both for ice cream and for weather in which it would be appropriate to eat it. Right now I have neither (can you tell I'm jealous?). I like how most of it appears frozen except for the tip. Nice. |

Day 27 - Shellby nikolaosComment: I think it looks better than you think it does, though there are some points where it looks clipped by the selection tool. You might try softening the brush, or afterwards feathering the selection. At least until you get that small home studio, of course :) |

Day 26 - Telephoneby nikolaosComment: Good shot, and well handled light. I don't do flashes very well, and right now I don't have anything other than on-camera flash (my old cheap-o will break my camera if I try to use it; different voltage). Excellent ordinary object. |

Trying to Stay Focused! Day 29by riversongComment: I love old cameras; I have some that have a tiny bit of value (a graflex field camera, an older Rolleiflex, a Yashica twin lens), and the thing with them all is that they all look so cool! I still wish someone would make a digital insert for these that we could just stick in the back and shoot with; I'd have mine out all the time. Nice shot here, you obviously got my attention :) |

Day 26 - Crestby boyd2000Comment: Wish I had a bill that I could try to find this on (spent all my U.S. cash last time I went home to visit). Good capture. |
