Night at the jazz clubby CaseyAllenComment: So many cool elements to this, the whole feel of it is interesting, from the overly dark reds to the garish carpet pattern, to the compressed feel at the edges (wide angle lens?). Lots to look at here. |

Julsby kellianComment: Interesting setting and composition, though I find the lighter area in the upper right trees a bit distracting (perhaps a bit of burning to darken it a bit would help, but I'm not sure). |

Separationby LevTComment: They needed to go home, it was after lunch and the kids wanted to get back to their friends. They could walk around the square, but that would take almost ten minutes. Going across would save time, and mom could finally get started on dinner while the kids played. They would go across. "But stay close to me, keep your distance, and don't look at it as we pass. That thing has nothing to do with us, it doesn't belong here, with us, so just keep your distance." Nothing to do with us . . .
A wonderfully seen and captured scene. Separation on many levels. Delightful. |

b l e a kby MelethiaComment: Not sure how you can say you're the only one who likes it when your commentator average is 8.3333 (as is often said, you clearly found your audience). It so wonderfully captures -- in what I believe is the spirit of impressionism -- the sense of place, one beyond our precise senses, beyond our purely conscious sense of lines, and depth, and breadth. I almost feel as though I've been there, but I know I couldn't point it out if you took me there and asked me to. I've been there, but I've never been there. Excellent. |

Dreamerby KronusComment: Oh to walk, even in a dream, among flowers of this shade and tone, to be one with them, even just in my own mind. Wonderful choices here for subject, shooting, and processing. I'm glad you saw it and showed it to us. |

Summer Sweet Cornby WriteHeartComment: Golden niblets that are really golden; I love that you avoided any temptation to go with a shallow depth of field here; the sharpness throughout adds wonderfully to the glowing, tasty feeling. |

Roseby ephlnComment: Intricate, flowing lines, shades and tones sent from heaven, delightfully shot and shown to us here. Congrats on a top 5 with this one! |

proverbialby krnodilComment: I think we should create blue light districts throughout the world just to provide a place for people to use this bulb. Wonderful, subtle shades of blue with lighting to die for and a perfectly chosen depth of field. Delightful. |

R2-D2by PhotologistComment: Delightfully fun image, made me smile, nicely captured and presented; making it a bit larger in the frame for this challenge was probably what the viewers were looking for (as a guess, I don't usually "get" the voters here). |

... keeps the doctor awayby kashiComment: So delightfully red. Sometimes I forget how wonderful red is. Thanks for reminding me. I like this image and its strong push to force the viewer to look at the stem (it is what kept the apple alive while it was on the tree), though, of course, viewers have their own ideas and would rather look at the soft bits. |
