Littlest Dogby Hannahmt5Comment: Minimal, but with some issues of focus, and I don't find the lighting particularly appealing (there are no real highlights and only some very soft shadows). |

Chess Match with timingby whiterookComment: This seems very busy for a minimalist shot, and the harsh lighting from the window overpowers and washes out the scene. |

Minimal dogby MelethiaComment: This didn't strike me as particularly minimal, and the center alignment of the subject didn't really work for me, either. The other elements (the pole, the people) actually detracted from the minimal effect to my eyes. |

Babyby KelliComment: I don't see much that is minimal about this image; it also has some issues with exposure and composition (it has a faded look that doesn't appeal to me), though I like the crossing vertical lines of the reptile with the branch. |

"Marlin's Garden"by MelonMusketeerComment: I like the subject, but there's too much going on here, and the details are overwhelmed by the confusion in color and light, and sometimes are lost (such as the purple flowers in the entryway). |

...to my heartby kdkaboomComment: Interesting concept, but it doesn't work for me in the end, though I like it better looking this time than I did when I first saw it (and am bumping it up accordingly). Part of the problem for me is that the actual heart is not very sharp (and neither are the fingers); this could be a resizing issue, but I'm not sure. If it had been sharp, with maybe a warmer light, I think I would have liked it more. |

Lysterfield Park Entranceby CuEComment: There are some things I really like about this image, such as the way the light falls on the models and the bare part of the tree branch above them, but it is far too bright in the sky, and in such bright light I would have liked a wider depth of field so that the background was punchier in relation to the foreground. |

What Once Wasby trnqltyComment: This is an interesting image, but the fire doesn't really look like fire; up to the buildings it's a really good shot, in my opinion, but the flames just don't hold up for me. |

BB: Unwanted Entry!by 777STANComment: This image didn't really do much for me; there are brightness/contrast issues, and it's not clear what's being said with it. |

Gate Keeperby anthonyczajaComment: This image simply too bright for me; the back of the model's head cuts out because of the brightness, as does much of the gate (as you move up). The model's stance and facial expression don't convey "gate keeper" to me, either. |
