Good contrast, strong composition. The depth of field seems a touch too tight, you lost it a bit at the toes.

The writing on the tap isn't as sharply in focus as it could be, since the eye naturally tries to read any writing it sees in an image. It seems an odd thing to use tight focus to draw the eye to. "TECHNO something or other"? It takes away from rather than adds to the picture. I like the action the skewed diagonal composition evokes. Seems like you missed a trick by taking a still shot when dancing is the theme. (look at your title 'shuffle'). A slow'ish' shutter speed (approx 1/125) would capture just enough movement to evoke the effect of a shuffling shoe I think.

Hehe, witty! Strong composition, though I would like to see a version without the second shoe behind the little figure. The second shoe does add a nice DOF, but it seems to be at the expense of the possibly greater effect of him aginst a white background. I think that would add even more weight to the shoe he's holding back, and the shape would be more powerful. Less is more. 9

Nice idea, well executed. I like the depth of field particularly. The diagonal composition is strong, with a good balance of roughly 2/3 balck, and 1/3 white. And the splash of colour spilling down the shoe is the coup de grace. Well done. 10

There's no direction in the composition. It's all over the place, and you're eye isn't directed to anything at all. It just seems like an untidy pile os shoes.

Looks too much like a snapshot grabbed at a museum or something, sorry!. The figure is obviously not being controlled by the photographer. You could have asked him to ham it up and bring some humour to the shot.

Poor composition. It's far too tight, to the point where the subject has become unclear. And since the title has the words 'small miracles' you could at least have made those words on the sole sharply into focus.

Nice DOF, good contrast, the action is well captured. A small point however, I would have expected two feet tight together stamping into a puddle to make a splash.

Keepsake Shoes

I don't see how this meets the challenge, sorry!

The keepsakes are out of focus, and the compositon (arc) is bland. The blended frame also does nothing for the picture, in fact it takes away from it.

Since the dirt on the trainers doesn't seem like it's suppossed to be saying anything, I suggest it should have been cleaned up. The hot spots on the top shoe could be fixed by less direct lighting. I do like the composition, and idea evoked by the title.
