Comfort from the Dark by sir_bazzComment: This is superb. Excellent use of light/shadow. And her expression is just perfect. Composition is spot-on. There's a light spot in the background, but I can live with that! - 10 |

cindyrellaby RothComment: Was showing her nipples intentional? Or is this an accidental candid? - I think this adds to the interest of the shot. I'm not sure the light really makes this any more dramatic though. More shadows/contrast around her face would have worked well. |

Purrrrfect Silhouette by dmmontyComment: I like this, but then I am a cat lover! - Sounds petty, but it's a pity about that white spot near the middle of the frame, it was the first thing I noticed. Anyway, this is a great idea, well executed. And how did you get the cat to sit still for so long? |

Stareby ShotMDComment: I'd love to know how you did this under basic editing... Shining laser beams into your eyes? :) Very dramatic, works well. The overall blue colour cast is a bit strange. |

Make A Wishby idnicComment: That's a lot of light for just one little candle! - I assume you used long exposure to get this effect? Quite effective, although more shadows on her face/hair would have been nice. |

Luminescenceby medoComment: Meets the challenge well. You're using the light to give it a dramatic feel. I like the composition and expression too. Very theatrical! |

Skyby JinboComment: It really looks as if it's her expression that makes this shot 'dramatic' and not the light. Would have preferred to see more contrast/harsh shadows around her eyes and nose. |

Smokeby swm4lfe_2001Comment: Not exactly sure what I'm seeing here - The foreground object is distracting, I would have preferred just to see the main light source and the smoke on their own. Focus looks a bit off. I like the colours though, and it meets the challenge well. |

The Final Showdownby JohnTFComment: Great use of DOF. Light/shadows work well together here. And I love the red surface. |

One Light, One Saxby gciboComment: I like the way you can see the spotlight in the top right of the frame. It would have been nicer if this had been the *only* light source. It really looks as though there's a lot of ambient light here also. |
