Cabin in Springby TelehubbieComment: Very beautiful and peaceful photograph. You captured it well with your composition. I like how you exposure captured the sunlit areas well and didn't loose detail in the darker shaded area of the cabin. Some of the leaves in the upper right are a bit too contrasty though. |

Overdressedby ShaneBlakeComment: Very nice photo! The crop is very good and the detail is so very sharp. He really stands out against the oof green background. Too bad though, that some of the detail on the front of the neck was lost. |

Red Doorby TelehubbieComment: Great photo, I really like this. The composition is really cool, it's so clean and simple but with lots of interest. The color tones are great as well. |

Itsy Bitsy Spiderby SJCarterComment: Looks like it was a macro study kind of weekend for you. The whole darn series is really good. I almost didn't click on the thumbnail for this, but I'm glad I did. Because it's how the spider fits in and completes the whole composition. Very well done! |

Red Eyeby SJCarterComment: Another great macro. That's really cool how you narrowed the DOF all the way down to the eyes. Excellent. |

THISTLE.jpgby mortyComment: I agree with Louis, the color and DOF are great. Even the composition is very nice. I do think you're photo is very sharp, just not in the right area. I would think you would want to emphasize the bloom at the top, but the point of sharpest focus falls further down on the stem. Or possibly, you went too shallow on the focus. Again, I really love the color on this photo! |

blackbirdby mortyComment: I like the nice tight crop, and he really stands out against the background with the shallow depth of field. Some overexposure might help you get some more of the birds detail, black subjects are always difficult. But it also would of brightened up the background, maybe too much. I guess it depends on what you're going for, but being that close you probably want the detail.
Welcome to the site, it can be a lot of fun and very addictive during challenge voting. |
