"Off to work." is a wonderful entry into the Pick Two Challenge. I think it is so great when you exceeds your expectations of the shot you have entered.

The image is obviously very well put together. Black and white was an excellent choice, to enhance all of those key features, like the rings on the shoes and accent letters on the bike. The composition is excellent, the shot feel complete. I think the black border is a nice addition. I really can see anything I would change, you just did an excellent job.

Congrats on the Top Ten finish, especially since this is your first official member challenge! Your wife is an awesome support my husband has to pretty much be dragged kicking and screaming into any shot.

Very interesting idea for the Pick Two challenge, you have defiantly meet the requirements of the challenge itself. I am surprised that you scored below a 5, but I guess that just how the voting goes someways.

The image itself has a nice soft feel, very artistic. The covers are nice and soft while still leaving enough glow on the peanut butter to bring out the subject. The overall composition is nice, I wish the stuff in the upper left and right could have been cropped out, it would probably have been pretty hard with leaving the dogs ears intact. This is really a great concept, I am surprised it didn't go over better. Maybe the soft glow feels a little too processed for some. The lighting looks like the sun is going down but is very appropriate for this piece. Good work on capturing the shot, I know my dog would not have been able to sit still with the peanut butter there. I think the placement of the dog in the background is just prefect, it give the shot a nice balance.

"Jell-O Martini with Peanut Butter Olive" is a nice addition into the Pick Two challenge. I remeber flipping through the challenge and looking at your shot and thinking what a perfectly shaped peanut butter olive. The smoothness you were able to make it pretty awesome in itself.

The image itself is very attention grabbing, pretty much the colors demand your attention. I don't know if I would have scored it higher with a white background but I can see how many voters probably would have preferred the white background (just based on past challenges). I kind of liked the muted feel, where nothing is too flash like a lot of martini shots are; it feels very appropriate for the subject. Also I am glad you don't have any flash spots on the glass. I am surprised you did not center the shot or place it more off centered, it just feels right in between. Overall the shot was interesting and the olive really demanded attention. Good work!

"You know, it's one of those days..." does meet the criteria of the challenge... we have heels and we have peanut butter. Hopefully your not too bummed about the score or placement, a lot of us (me included) have been there. I personally think I have gotten better since then, but I think there is a learning curve. Sorry for rambling, on to the photo.

The subject itself is an interesting idea. Maybe you had some trouble shrinking the photo down to meet the qualifications. Possibly this is were it picked up all the noise that is coming across in the shot. Then again maybe that is the look you wanted. I am not sure if it is the lighting that brings out a hot spot on the feel or the noise, but it does take away from the score for me. It was a nice try with such a crazy subject. I look forward to seeing what you come up with next time!

"A bicycle with peanut butter" obviously by the titlle meets the crazy requirements of the Pick Two challenge.

I think based on the challenge it was hard to come up with a pretty picutre, by I do like the artistic feel of the image. I really like how smooth and balanced the peanut butter is, you did not just throw it on. I really like the way you shot this a little darker and edgier possibly to give more of that artistic feel. The glow from the piece that hold the petal (sorry for the lack of terminology) shows a nice focus and allows it too feel more balanced. The levels in the piece flow very naturally nothing is harsh or forced.

Excellent close up. Not too bad of a placement, but personally I thought it would finish higher I gave it a 7. Keep up the good work.

"Too Drunk to Drive" first off meet the challenge requirements, which is always a good place to start. After reading your own comments I understand a few things a little better.

I did not realize the glass were used to spread the peanut butter. I did understand the the chaos. I wish you had been able to include a beer can or a glass that is specifically designed for alcohol (like martini). Maybe darken the image a little would give it a grungier feel as well as maybe tipping over the PB. I like the keys in the spilled liquid. I think the flash might have been a bit much with the glow it has created on the plate. The concept is a pretty hard one with such a crazy challenge subject to start with and I think was more then likely lost on most voters.
