A Momentby fotomann_foreverComment: *Critique Club*
"A Moment" is a very interesting addition into the Color Studio Portrait II challenge. As usual your piece defiantly stand out from the other run of the mill portraits.
The photo itself is interesting, I think the main thing that grabs my attention is the pose. An extremely unusual pose epically for for some one dressed. Looks more like Maxim or FHM. But defiantly something original to grab attention. The coloring seems a little off to me. Is the backdrop really red or is it a pink color? It is pretty hard to tell with the lighting. The lighting on the face seems a little too strong for a portrait. I could almost see this as an alien abduction shot with the lighting on the face. I really do like the glow you have created, especially how it brings out the t-shirt. As usual you have a great shot to grab the voters attention. Keep up the good work!! |

Chugga Chugga Choo Chooby deepfrog17Comment: *Critique Club*
"Chugga Chugga Choo Choo" is a wonderful entry into the Children's Toy challenge. In todays society anyone with a little boy knows who Thomas is and how magical he is. Great choice of subject!
The image its self grabs your attention. The lighting is the first thing I notice because it is enhancing the subject and the smoke. I bet you had a hard time deciding on the background for this shot. To me the background seem a little off but I think it would have affected the shot way to much if you decided to go with a solid background. The only thing I might try is to add some light from the front side, so we have a little light on the face. It was a great idea and congrats on the top 20%. I look forward to your future submissions. |
