The Little Mermaidby JudiComment: I would say to improve this shot, the light on the rocks in the foreground should have been darker otherwise nice sunset. |

Floral Hair (Originally by Billy Pegram)by KrisbyComment: I like this but what I think would have made it perfect would be balanced lighting. Her mouth and cheeks are much brighter then the flowers and over power her eyes, which are lovely BTW. A great idea though.
If you had used a soft box or even a white cardboard to defuse the flash or light you used I think that would have balenced the lihgt a little better. |

Oh, the pics I would take if I were invisible...by notesinstonesComment: Originally posted by yakatme: A lot of nice comments down below, but what happened? This should have scored a lot higher (I voted it a 9). |
Yakatme is being diplomatic, I can't be, you were robbed this should have won. I gave you a 10 and anyone who didn't understand the originality of this image and the excellent way you pulled it off, shouldn't be voting. Another picture which proves what I have been saying about people voting on DPC, there is no accounting for taste.

Hurrell's Starletby jenesisComment: Berniece Abbott once said something to the effect, when shooting a picture the most importent part of the image of a person is their eyes. If the eyes are in focus that will be a great image. Thus the 9 on this one.
Between the eyes and the background lighting this is an amazing shot. |

Changing New York Berneice Abbottby slingshotComment: I would have done this in B&W to tribute a great photographer like Berneice Abbott. Angles are nice and the crop is good but B&W would have made it a 10 as is I'll give you a 9 since I think the reason you didn't make it B&W was because it is a changing NY. Good image overall though. |

Regurgitated Dreamsby JPRComment: I don't know if this is within the rules but besides that, I think it is too dark and even with the help of the title it makes no sense to me. It isn't interesting but I know you put a lot of work into it and maybe if it was brighter. This is more of an artistic rendition of a photograph or photographs. I thought we didn't do that here? Maybe I am wrong. In another context you might find this gets a lot of approval. |
