I really like how the light is working in this one...brightly lit on one side, but without blowing any of the highlights, and then shadowy on the other to lend the portrait a bit of sex appeal. :) At first I thought that it would be better without the shadow from the cap, but I think that I like it there because it serves to frame his face and draw more attention to the eyes. The glow from the lights in the background really adds to the overall image and provides visual balance. Nice one!

Holy Cow! Are you in there somewhere, JP? I will most assuredly be singing "Hooked on a Feeling" in my head all night long and into tomorrow...and I will probably never again in my life be able to hear that song without this somewhat disturbing image of you popping into my head. Nice! Closer up would be great too, but I can see why you chose this distance from which to shoot; the curving lines in that sofa add such a nice flow to the image. And I do like the posed yet natural feel to this.

You can just tell how proud Abby is here, Sandy. This photo will be a treasure to her as she gets older, especially if she develops a real love for riding. Tessa's passion is horseback riding, and she proudly displays a photo in her room of her very first pony ride at age 2 1/2. This is beautiful!

Day 12 - Sophie

Really nice shot! Sophie is just the cutest thing, with the most expressive ears I've ever seen on a dog. My only suggestion to improve this would be to either burn or clone out the lighter diagonal elements that appear to the upper right and the lower left of her head. They tend to distract focus away from her face a bit. You can just tell by looking at this shot how full of energy she is. :)
