here's the promised comment, for commenting on my photo. a bit late, but not forgotten ;)

first, the blur looks amazing. It just fits with the atmosphere and symmetry this photo has. b/w conversion looks perfect for me, good contrasts in the shadow-parts and nice gray-tones.

I wouldn't say this is a night shot. well done!

I think this is a photo with potential. It just feels like you can get more out of this one.
First, try to check if the horizon isn't tilted. It feels like it, somehow, but I could be wrong ;)

Second, I think the b/w conversion can be a bit better. You see great contrasts in the rocks and the chappel, but the little town looks gray. Might wanna tweak the levels a bit.

The leading line towards the chappel looks good, I think the composition is great. And ofcourse, a lovely view :)

this is a beautiful portrait of this man. You composed this photo in a very good way. The toning is also very nice, but might need a little levels to get a little bit of a fresh look (you know what I mean?)

maybe if you're gonna try again, use a bigger aperture so the background fades a little bit more. the people standing behind him catch a lot of attention and I think it's better that this man gets all the attention he deserves in this photo.
