this is a nice portrait... i think i would have placed him in the black space on the bottom right... that way you'd still have the cool element of the wall but the area directly behind his face would not be so busy, making his facial features stand out more. i really like his expression though! :)

i think this shot would be a lot stronger without the leaf in the way. its a wonderful idea and great composition (without the leaf). could use a little more color saturation, or perhaps make is a black and white shot.
