Looks like good potential - wonder whether some tweaking of contrast/brightness/something in pp may have helped bring out some detail, especially in the cardinal(?) - also a little softer overall too would work well, in my opinion - but your call of course.

The effect works well with these tulips(?), still retained a bit of detail around the edge of the petals. Perhaps cropping out the upper left '1/4' one would have made this a stronger image.
