Clematis

Comment:
Nice colors. It is spelled Clematis. Be nice to see the 'candy stripes' more (although I see this is a 'Side Challenge' and I have no idea what the theme is, so apologies if that contradicts your intent).

Left Behind

Depending what you had to work with, perhaps zooming out a little to allow more context may have given this a little more drama/depth/impact. Not sure the framing enhances the image, but fairly minor. I like that he is all wet (or has been wet) that and the interesting patterns & work on the seat add a nice element to the image. As for the concept and indeed the title, there are many of these at DPC - perhaps a Challenge with a bear 'left behind' would be an interesting one.

8 - Very nice. Really like the diagonal line the flowers create in the image. The tones are very nice, especially coupled with the nice bokeh at the rear. Can't help wonder about a fraction more 'depth' somehow, perhaps a tweaking of lighting/contrast, not sure - although it looks like this image would be tricky to tweak without blowing the lighter areas, especially in basic. This was comment #4000 for me - a nice image to do it on, thanks.

The tones have picked up the elements well in this. Difficult, but perhaps a little lighter overall, just seems a little dark. Apologies in advance if wrong, but this looks like it might need a nudge rotate up on the right to straighten. Depending what you had to work with, perhaps a slight adjustment in the composition as well, mainly for overall balance.

Nice. Like your composition. A more refined crop at the top make this even better in my opinion. Like the focal areas, although would like to have seen all the pistils in focus too (but difficult).

Nice concept - all the hands in focus and less fabric discernible at the rear make this much better in my opinion. Difficult, especially if this is all you had/have to work with, but the 'little hand' on the right detracts slightly from the overall 'effect' and concept.

If you crop out the t-shirt, this becomes a very different style of image. Her hairstyle lends itself to a feminine type of image and perhaps a rotate and crop (including tighter at the top to bring her more dominant in the frmae), may have given this something extra. The light on her forehead is perhaps a little strong, but difficult in Basic.

Like the concept but the framing and crop is not enhancing the tip of the bud/study of the rose. A little more context (further out) likely have also helped, especially if you wanted to stick with this type of crop/framing.

The focus seems sharper on the background than the bench.

That's nice. Nice clarity/focus. Can't help wondering about a variation in framing - squared perhaps, but your call. The rose colored sepia is nice, but I also wonder about a more traditional hue - it may have brought out a few more elements and depth, maybe.
