Lonelinessby bmartuchComment: 7 - Nice image and tones. I like it better with less at the top, but personal preference there - your image, your call. Like the processing and feel (including that of the original scene with the fog). |

Snowfallby bobnospumComment: 6 - I like this. For such a simple scene, the lines and tones are good. I imagine the scene 'beyond' was/is pretty magical too. |

Simple Pleasuresby bspurgeonComment: 7.25 - Nice feel with the processing, that and the angle/image itself helps me feel the sand too. I like the composition but I'm too distracted by the oof fore, once I notice it. Like the focal point(s) though and the vague background. |

Spilling out by IreneMComment: 8 - Very nice, like your tones. Wish it had a little more compositional balance. |

Anonymityby escapetoozComment: 3 - I get it but I think your execution is lacking - it is not enhancing the image or subject via a good effect, etc. |

Heirloomby CJinCAComment: 5 - Nice idea, including how you've stored your watch. Like to have seen the transparency in the dome 'used' a little more, 'somehow' - maybe with the image behind or just distortion of the watch via angle, who knows - but your image, your call. |

Through 6000 years - toward perfectionby dbeauComment: 2 - Controversy about the artwork rule aside, I like this idea, but this Challenge (my interpretation anyway) being all about transparency, I'd like to have seen you 'use' the transparency through the liquids (or even the glass) more than you have - whether via a different angle, etc., e.g.: the effect coming through the middle glass with the wagon wheel looks good, but it is such a small part of the image. |

Carousel girl originalby MelethiaComment: I like this original a little better with the added context (despite the 'busyness' - the presents and other folk add something, although a refined crop here and there to eliminate distractions - but a tough crop call either way I bet). Very nice and special candid. On closer inspection, I want to see what she is looking at... maybe those nifty skiers... or the top of the carousel |
