Very nice, especially with that background. Nice colors. Fairly good detail in the feathers, but for such a small bird, plus 'small opportunity', you've likely done very well.

I'd say a dove, especially given the pinkish/brown color. Very nice capture with nice background/bokeh. Nice and simple. The only thing is the tip of the tail but, you know that.

Good capture, especially through a window. Good story/comments. More height above (depending what you had to work with) make this even better in my opinion. Colors are nice. Not sure on the frame, especially the color, works but perhaps a different color, who knows.

This is a magnificent shot. The colors are excellent. The only thing is the tip of the beak, if that were sharper, while still being able to retain the focus you have in the other areas, make this even better in my opinion. Good job with the background/bokeh. Even, especially for this medium, but of course depending what is there/you had to work with, this with more 'height' too = possibly more impact. The feathers on the back of the head look very good. If you know the correct name and would put it in your comments would be good too. Also if this was wild or not, judging by the 'stillness', I'm assuming an enclosure. edit:typo & wording & thank you for providing the information/insight

Gave this a 7. Really liked the toning, especially with the freckles. Crop was good too. That seemingly candid 'catch' I now know is PS2 entrancement - good 'timing' and capture.

'6/7' - depending on how well you were able to make the coyote 'pop' with cropping/pp. Maybe even an 8 dependent what you had to work with originally. As you know I gave the 'real entry' an 8, really liked it.

I gave this a 7. Excellent reading/insight of your comments. You now have a very good portrait of your grandfather. If it took a 'photo challenge competition' to get it, so be it, either way, it is now 'captured'. You have something special here that no words can explain.
