8 - Oh, very nice. Criticism; very difficult, but, I'd like to see the entire beak (Roman nose) sharper, but difficult with your 'focus' I imagine. I like the drop at the end of the beak, which if enhanced/emphasized, 'somehow', make this even better. Very difficult to 'criticize' (pull apart) this shot, especially given the subject (flamingos). Perhaps some 'blown' issues on the beak, not sure, and any contrast 'tweaking' likely very difficult. Good DOF too.

6 - Good. Criticism; looks like it needs a slight nudge rotation up on the left, but apologies if wrong, may just be the perspective. A little sharper, while difficult, would also have made this even better in my opinion. Like the 'composition', but perhaps even more height (top/depth) may have also have given this something extra.

5 - Nice. Criticism; like to see the same sharpness that is on the stem 'behind' the pod, used on the pod. Seems a little 'blown' on the pod, but again, with sharper focus may have eliminated that and gained more texture detail. Nice and simple, including colors, the DOF is good. Not sure on the frame, 'works', but not sure it enhances the subject(s) as much as perhaps another color may have, who knows. Perhaps a tighter cropping at the top to eliminate the 'join' too, but minor.

Criticism; if this were straightened (nudge rotation up on the left), cropped a little tighter, likely top and bottom (depending on quality), and the background a little more 'shallow'/out of focus, likely make this even better in my opinion. Toning 'works', but perhaps needs adjustment to bring out the full potential, but would likely involve 'contrast issues'.

2 - Good potential here. Criticism; a sharper perspective/angle would likely have made this much better in my opinion. Even at this angle, the shallowness of the 'DOF' does not seem very strong. The cropping so tight at the fore enhances this 'lacking' as well. Although the shoreline may have been 'uneven' like this, with this cropping/perspective/etc it doesn't look 'level' so either incorporating more context to see the 'flow' of the shoreline, or rotating this to create the illusion of a level shoreline, all likely would have made this even better in my opinion. Appears that there may also have been a reflection on the 'fore bird', so (depending what you had to work with), the inclusion of that (and indeed more foreground) may have also helped this. Also, needs to be 640 in this case width.

3 - Good potential here. Criticism; frame dominates too much and also detracts in my opinion. If the fore of the train were not so tightly cropped, a little sharper too and also the seemingly good shallow 'DOF' incorporated more (with or without the seemingly applied 'grain effect') likely have made this much better in my opinion.

6 - Unusual. Back PC to see what this is. Colors are nice. Abstract'ness' also nice. Criticism; undecided on the rotation, but your call. Perhaps a little sharper on the 'bubbles'(?), although difficult, may have made this even better in my opinion. Without the strong 'light'/white bottom left, may have enhanced your 'feature' here better, not sure. Good 'DOF' at any rate.

Criticism; like to see 'a' focal point sharper/crisper, be it the stalk (that looks like parsley), or the apple(?), but just something there defined a little better, likely make this even better in my opinion. Maybe a little more height too, not sure as I do like the horizontal composition. Very good 'DOF''s.
