dragonflyby owenComment: 8 - Very good macro. Criticism; difficult, to really nit-pick, the glare on the eyes (almost unavoidable), the slight 'blowing' of the grass/leaf it is on and the focus/detail 'fading' down the 'body'. Opportunity capture, natural lighting, etc, make it very difficult likely to adjust/modify any of these 'issues'. A tweaking of the colors perhaps, to try to get the red/green contrasting/vivid more, who knows. Good fit for username. Good capture. Like the composition and 640x640. |

hopperby JayWalkComment: 7 - One of the best 'username captures' in my opinion. Good catch/capture. No idea if the 'blur' is motion blur or 'pp'. Criticism; definitely wish this were 640. If this is 'real' and opportune, then difficult to suggest, but, a slightly different composition or crop, not sure, just to try to get 'the hopper' more dominant, instead of the leaves, would have likely made this even better in my opinion. |

T E C H N O S H R O O Mby DrAchooComment: 7 - Good concept. Criticism; the main 'shroom' looks a little more weathered than the others, but likely just due to 'handling'/technomanipulation. Perhaps a slightly different arrangement/composition may have given this more depth, especially with the main 'shroom' at the fore more. |

'garlic'by suemackComment: 7 - Good. Like the way you pulled it apart and chopped some up to 'showcase'. Criticism; a little 'blown' in my opinion, although I realize you may have been going for a 'high key' effect. Just more detail in the textures and 'sliced garlic', would have made this better in my opinion. |

wackybillby espy2Comment: 7 - Good. Good username capture, as difficult as this may have been. Colors are nice, especially in the eye. Criticism; difficult, as this is likely 'opportune', but a slightly different angle, gaining more 'wackybill', and even more detail on it, and that eye, may have made this even better in my opinion. Also 640 would have helped you. Fairly good control of the whites, especially with such a dark background and likely trying to 'tweak' that wackybill. |

Yellow Runnuculusby IndigoButterflyComment: Fairly good texture detail in the petals on the ranunculus. Perhaps a slight nudge rotation up on the left may have made this even better in my opinion. |

Yellow Runnuculus - fallenby IndigoButterflyComment: Like the angle/perspective on the ranunculi. Looks like it would be difficult to adjust the lighting in this with the dark background and bright yellow in the fore, which seems to be on the verge of 'blowing'. |

Pod.jpgby IndigoButterflyComment: Nice colors and background/base. Nice and simple. 'If only' it were 640 (in this case width), make it even better in my opinion. Perhaps a little more space at the fore, not sure. |

Pomegranate.jpgby IndigoButterflyComment: Nice 'still life' type of shot. Wish it were 640 width. Color is nice. Seems good texture too, but again, difficult to tell at this size. Perhaps a lighting adjustment, but likely difficult due to resulting contrast/etc issues. |

Leaving soon - The longest dropby GunnsiComment: 2 - Good potential. Criticism; too grainy, needs to be 640, in this case height. Not sure on the frame. The reflections in the drops seem good. Quality is too poor though overall in my opinion. edit:changed 'width' to 'height' Message edited by author 2006-02-08 15:30:22. |
