Nice unusual capture. Wish I could see more of his/her wonderful texture. Up to 7 from 5. Really like this image. As mentioned, so much potential with the textures. On a second and closer look I can see some good ones here and there (ear membrane, wood, etc) but what I like most is that this beautiful creature is ... gazing out a window. Taking the liberty of adding to my Favorites as well.

Nice color. Strange effects with the focus or perhaps pp. Like the composition but seems to be out of balance overall, mainly because of the direction of the cacti. Up to 7 from 6. Like this, just the balance issue - also wish I could see a little more on the left.

8 - Nice clarity, composition and tones. Difficult, but for this Challenge, would like to have seen even more texture discernible in the feather. Seems to be some minor issues in the fore oof areas - but could be my monitor.
