Willieby tnunComment: 8 - Nice character capture of Willie - he looks like a good boy. Background is a little funky upper left, but does kind of add to the portrait in a way. Wish he were a bit more 'up' in the frame. Up to 8 from 7. |

Was that a rabbit?!by bspurgeonComment: 8 - Nice outdoor light to show off the coat well, which I imagine is difficult to photograph. Like the wagon element. A little clean and that ear not chopped/the rabbit watcher just a fraction further in the frame, make this even better in my opinion. Up to 8 from 7. |

Benjiby joynimComment: 7 - Nice focus on Benji, just find the top area/light background competes too much with Benji - maybe a crop variation, not sure. |

Song of Silenceby CaravelaComment: 9 - Very nice portrait and photograph. Classic. Tones work very well. Good character capture. Up to 9 from 8 -- I just like this. |

Where's my stick?by rmezzoComment: 7 - Like this, the obvious rock in front of the right paw - but I guess he/she didn't understand you when you said "can you just move a little to the left". The subtle reflection in the water is very nice - which makes me wonder about incorporating it more with a variation in cropping/composition. |

"Missing You"by rexComment: 9 - Tones and framing and basket are just about perfect. Very nice. Wish this was 720. Up to 9 from 8. I really can't fault this much at all. Really like those little/big claws (for such a small girl(?)). |

Kitby JutildaComment: 8 - The b&w is nice, but still, I can imagine (what appears to be) a magnificent ginger coat - and eyes(?). I like the way the whiskers twirl upwards like an old fashioned moustache. Up to 8 from 7. |

Domesticated?by SiggavComment: 7 - Nice pose. I just noticed a little red something halfway along the tail, which perhaps you could have cloned out, but minor. Given this beautiful coat, I wonder about a variation in lighting to allow it to 'show' more. Beautiful cat. |

Tabby Cat by yankoComment: 8 - I deliberated over this at first, it is good, but my first thoughts were that the eyes were overprocessed to the point that they didn't look natural, that coupled with the few similar images I've seen on DPC, although that really doesn't matter. There is something slightly unnatural in the eyes, but could be that this is shot in a studio, not sure, but - other than perhaps a suggestion of the lighting at the top similar to that as what appears to be at the bottom, this is a very good image and a very nice pet portrait, and yes, shows off the 'plain old tabby cat''s features well. |

Beauty not the Beastby SnapperLComment: 8 - Excellent clarity around the head, nice classic pose and the backdrop complements the coat well. Mainly the oof paws for me, but difficult to retain the focal areas, including softness in the oof areas and get those in too, I imagine. |
