2 dozenby bobgaitherComment: I just can't seem to get these pesky things counted!
So I really don't know about the "2 dozen" claim.
Other than that it's a really pretty picture.
Good luck! |

Snake Eyesby racwComment: The dice are even.
I get that.
I would have liked this picture with some people included in it.
Looks of happiness/horror etc...
Maybe some atmosphere as well, with full ashtrays and glasses of drinks, etc...
Also, I don't know if it's a visual illusion or not, but there appears to be a kink in the green carpet. |

Two For the Southby missinseattleComment: There's two birds, and that makes the brief fulfilled, certainly.
They just seem to be perched a bit uncomfortably within the picture.
Makes me feel "weird" looking at it.
Like I'm unsettled.
I think that a slightly better choice of composition would have helped the viewer (well, me) feel more at ease within your photo.
That said, I'm impressed at their synchronised preening routine.
Well done on capturing that! |

Twin Peaksby JacksonComment: Do you know what would have done it for me?
I'll tell you.
A glorious golden/pink/purple sunset/sunrise reflected on these lofty peaks.
Or even the use of a polarising filter to help isolate them from the sky, and to add depth and drama.
I believe that a picture should really "SPEAK" to you, and for me this one is whispering right now.
But shoot it at early morning or late evening and watch her RIP!
Good luck with future entries. |

The Pyramid Of Learningby aledfcComment: So.
What we have here is a pile of books on a carpet.
15 books.
On 1 carpet.
And nothing which looks even either. (The pile is off-centre, and skew.)
I think you'd have done better by taking more time in deciding on your angles, and on using lighting to add character, and isolating the books from their background, might also have helped.
Don't give up trying.
And remember this motto:
"Is this pizzazz?
Or is this pedestrian?"
It's what helps me decide on what gets deleted and what stays.
Good luck for future entries! |

Twoby KiwiChrisComment: Nice choice of subjects to fulfill the brief.
Pity about the "stick" reflection in the green glass, and the big dark "blob" thing reflection in the blue glass.
More attention could have been paid to isolating the subjects completely from any reflective interference.
Furthermore, the colour is a bit "washed out".
Fix those things, and you'd have a winner! |

Two Liliesby elemessComment: Nice choice of subject, and it matches the brief perfectly.
However, the lillies are virtually lost in a "sea" of sameness.
There's not enough shadow-midtone-highlight or colour differentiation to make them REALLY stand out in your picture.
And then there are the foreign blotches of white on the lillies... |
